Kemlet started from a table that was one player short. We are a few friends living far from home, in Dubai. The gathering and the card table were how we stayed close to each other. But life abroad has its own rhythm: friends come and go, someone travels, someone's schedule shifts, and more often than not we found ourselves a player short for a round of Tarneeb or Jackaroo.
The table set, the cards dealt, the coffee on, and still one short. We kept asking around and pushing the night back, until we thought: why not make that missing player a tap away? That is how Kemlet came to be. We built it for ourselves first, and for everyone like us, far from home or close to it, a player short of completing the table.
We believe the best moments happen around a table, with people, without screens between us. Kemlet is not a video game, it is the shortest path to a real gathering. No money, no complications, just the game and the people.
“Kemlet” is the moment the count is complete and the game begins. We chose the name because that is exactly the moment we live for.
