Tarneeb rules

The bid

• Bids run from 7 to 13 tricks, out of 13.
• The team that wins the bid has to take at least that many tricks.

Scoring

• When the bid is made, the bidding team scores the tricks it took and the other team scores 0.
• Extra tricks count: bid 8 and take 10, score 10.
• When the bid fails, the bidding team loses the bid and the other team scores the tricks it took.
• Scores can go below zero.

Target

• The target is 31, 41 or 61; the default is 41.
• The first team to reach 41 or more wins. If more than one gets there on the same hand, the highest wins; a tie plays another hand.
