Tarneeb
4 players
Tarneeb is one of the most popular card games in the region. It is played by 4 players in two teams, with a bidding round for tricks and a trump suit (the tarneeb). The goal is to reach the number of tricks you committed to. It rewards memory, reading your partner, and smart bidding.

How to play
Players: 4, in two teams, partners opposite.
Deck: A full 52-card pack, all dealt out, 13 each.
Bidding: Starts to the dealer's right. Each player bids how many tricks their team will take, minimum 7 and maximum 13, and each bid must beat the last. The winning bidder names the trump suit (the tarneeb).
Play: The bid winner leads first. Follow the led suit if you can, otherwise trump or throw a card. The highest trump wins the trick, or the highest card of the led suit if no trump is played.
Scoring: Make your bid and your team scores the tricks it won. Fall short and your bid is subtracted. Scores can go below zero.
Winning: First team to the agreed target, usually 41.
