Chess is a two player board game, all thinking, strategy, and patience. Corner your opponent king and deliver checkmate. From beginner to expert, there is always someone at your level.

How to play
Players: 2.
Equipment: A 64-square board, 16 pieces each (a king, a queen, two rooks, two knights, two bishops, and 8 pawns).
Goal: Trap the opponent king so it cannot escape, which is checkmate.
Play: White moves first, then you alternate one move at a time. Each piece moves its own way: pawns forward, rooks in lines, bishops on diagonals, the knight in an L.
Special moves: Castling with a rook, and promoting a pawn to a queen when it reaches the last rank.
Winning: Checkmate wins. With no legal move and no check, it is a draw (stalemate).
